Description

We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced sample cutter to join our team. The sample cutter is responsible for accurately cutting fabric according to patterns and specifications to create samples.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Capability to lift and move fabric rolls or materials.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience of 8+ years as a sample Cutter or in similar role in the apparel industry.
Ability to work well under pressure
Good knowledge of French and English (written and spoken). Strong English is required for communications with vendors outside Quebec.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Duties / Responsibilities

Accurately cut fabric for samples using manual or electric cutting tools (Round Knife).
Prepare and organize cut pieces for sewing team or sample makers by measuring, placing marks, and cutting the fabric or textile to the proper specifications.
Maintain an organized work area and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
Closely collaborate with patternmaking and sewing departments.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working conditions.
