Fashion Technical Designer (Knits & Sweaters)

Permanent, Full-time

Required Skills and Qualification:

DEC in Fashion Design or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
Minimum of five (5) years of design experience in similar design role
Previous experience working with women’s sweaters is required
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, (InDesign is an asset)
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Sound judgment and attention to detail
Knowledge of Costco product development is considered an asset
Good understanding of the fashion industry, with a willingness to learn and grow
Strong knowledge of knitwear and sweater construction, fit, and specifications

Create and maintain accurate development tech packs including providing detailed technical sketches, measurements and building tech packs)
Create detailed sketches from original samples or pictures that align with the customer’s Brand vision
Participate in the product development process including tracking and managing fabrics, trim approvals, and protos
Keep on top of development calendar and meet deadlines
Maintain high-quality standards in line with company requirements
Maintain approved block for each commodity to ensure consistency and fit
Collaborate closely with Sales and Production teams
Assist Lead Designer in the showroom during the meetings with customers
Assist in data entry, style creation, cads for customers, line review samples prep
