Senior Fit Technician (Cut & Sew/Sweater division)

Permanent, Full-time

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in apparel industry.
Proficient in Illustrator & Photoshop.
Experience & strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, cut & sew and sweaters.
PAD knowledge an asset.
Excellent communication and interaction skills.
Self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized.
Proven ability to prioritize and organize with meticulous follow up skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & be production oriented with ability to identify, analyze and resolve fit issues.
The ability to work easily within a team.
Bilingual: English & French. Strong English (Written & Spoken) is required for communications with suppliers outside Quebec.

Update detailed tech packs for production, including updating sketches in Illustrator.
Measure & prepare all fit samples for fittings on live model.
Analyze and adjust fits with Designer and make appropriate correction and clearly translate them overseas using sketches & patterns.
Maintain the daily communications with overseas makers and follow up on customers requirements.
Advise the Designer on specs and production quality as required.
Approve all trims on garment and create grading information once garments are approved.
Communicate with customers; send samples and pictures and ensure to follow up for feedback.
