Quality Control Specialist (Apparel)

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Minimum 4 years’ experience in quality control/assurance field in the garment import /apparel industry.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a team player.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong knowledge of garment and fabric construction, terminology, measurements, and workmanship.
Knowledge and experience in bulk sample inspection and comment.
Bilingual: English & French. Good knowledge of French and English (written and spoken). Strong English is required for communications with suppliers outside Quebec.

Perform random inspection and quality tests on products to ensure it meets all required specifications.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits; promptly communicate and flag any defects to manager/supervisor to ensure immediate resolution and corrective action.
Support all quality control activities related to internal and external audits.
Ensure effective and efficient communication between the QC department and administrative team.
Assist with and support process improvements, proactively identifying and reporting any deviations from established procedures.
Collaborate proactively with team members, managers, and employees as needed.
Manage special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
